I agree with you. I was really surprised when I found out the materials used to build homes in the US. Walls are made almost out of prefabricated cardboard, and they cost more than in most countries (I'll cite the San Francisco Bay Area as the example that I know). I was really surprised when I tried nailing a couple of wall anchors to fix a frame on the wall and found out that the dry wall I was trying to nail those anchors to just came apart like if it was made out of chalk ...Materials used to build homes in the US could be more resilient, there should be no excuse for the poor quality of walls and floors used for the prices that homes are sold for in the US.
